Established in 1992, R3 Racing is part of the R3 Technology group of companies. The owner and founder, Roy Tuthill, first became interested in karts through his son, Ian. A family member had bought Ian a second-hand kart for a Christmas present and soon father and son were busy travelling to various tracks testing out their new toy. Fun turned to serious racing when a well-known kart instructor mentioned that Ian had a natural talent for karts.

Once in the race scene, Roy came across a number of companies supplying equipment to help the budding young karter in his quest to go faster. Unfortunately, a lot of this equipment was not up to the quality that Roy had come to expect from his own industry, so being a creative sort, he set about designing items that his son could use and that would make a difference. Word spread among friends they had made on the circuit and soon Roy had a business turning out instrumentation specifically for the karting fraternity.

Today that company is R3 Racing and the product range of high quality instrumentation continues to grow. R3 Racing is constantly investing in developing products that can make a difference. The world leading Eagle Eye laser alignment system, the ingenious chain wheel aligner and more recently, the highly practical battery check.

Detailed attention is paid to the manufacture of all these instruments, which are all designed and built in-house. This attention to detail ensures the exacting standards of our research and development are met and all our customers receive quality equipment providing enduring, reliable and accurate service.
