Chain Wheel Aligner

Designed to help you align your chain scientifically without ambiguity (no difficult straight edges to hold). Simply clip the chain wheel aligner to the chain wheel & check the laser on the engine cog.

Eagle Eye Laser Wheel Alignment System (front axle)

Eagle Eye is for checking & setting the toe, camber & caster angle on most types of Kart. It fits directly onto 17mm stub axles. It can also be fitted with or without the wheels on the stub axles. Thus dynamic settings can be achieved. Because of its unique design the laser beam is kept well clear of the king pin arrangement. Additional units are also available to enable the Eagle Eye to be used on 25 & 40mm stub axles. All of these can also be used in conjunction with our Rear Axle Alignment System to provide a complete set-up arrangement.

Specification:

  • light source: class II solid state laser
  • control: microprocessor controlled modulated beam
  • accuracy: better than 0.5mm for toe and camber (measured at 100mm from stub axle)
  • bubble: +/- 30 arc minutes
  • power: lithium primary cell type CR2 (worldwide availability)
  • battery life: sleep mode up to 5 years; wake mode up to 70 hours continuous use
  • operation: one press for ON, one press for OFF; Auto OFF after about 8.5 minutes
  • axle sizes: 17mm, and 25mm & 40mm with extension units
  • material: aluminium alloy body
  • weight: approximately 1.7 kg

Eagle Eye Laser Wheel Alignment System (rear axle)

The Eagle Eye Rear Axle Alignment System enables the karter to check for Twist, Bend and Crab. It fits axles from 12.5mm (1/2 inch) to 50mm (2 inches) diameter. Used in conjunction with the Eagle Eye Front Axle System it is the essential tool for quick and easy alignment. No additional equipment is required - no tape measure - no level - no flat table, making it easy to use and understand.

Kit comprises right and left hand units, 2 distance bars, 2 front targets, and full instructions in an attractive and durable case.

Specification:

  • light source: class II solid state laser
  • control: microprocessor controlled modulated beam
  • accuracy: better than 0.5mm for toe and camber (measured at 100mm from stub axle)
  • power: lithium primary cell type CR2 (worldwide availability)
  • battery life: sleep mode up to 5 years; wake mode up to 70 hours continuous use
  • operation: one press for ON, one press for OFF; Auto OFF after about 8.5 minutes
  • axle sizes: 12.5mm (1/2 inch) to 50mm (2 inches)
  • material: aluminium alloy body
  • weight: approximately 1.6 kg

Tachometer Plus

The Tachometer Plus measures engine revs, kart speed, temperature and lap times using an internal crystal controlled clock. See connections diagram.

Features:

  • measures & records engine revs, temperature & lap times
  • simple to operate
  • contains a 100 lap log
  • speed measurement in mph & kph
  • sleep mode automatically implemented
  • robust plastic case
  • water resistant
  • large 16 digit display
  • battery life: sleep mode up to 50 years; wake mode approx 5 years
if used 1 hour per week for 52 weeks a year
  • temperature sensor
  • magnetic strip sensor
  • 2 or 4 stroke operation

Display Modes:

There are 7 basic display modes. When the Tachometer Plus first 'wakes up' it goes to mode 4 (see display modes diagram).

Lap log
You will only see laps 1 and 2 if no laps have been completed: these of course will both be 00.00. When more laps have been completed you will be able to see them all.

Mode 1 - Engine Run Timer & Magnetic Strip setting
Mode 1 displays the Engine Run Timer clock & the magnetic strip setting. The Engine Run Timer displays the total time that the engine has been run since it was last reset. It increments only while the engine is running. The Magnetic Strip setting sets the magnetic strips per lap.

Mode 2 - Peaks Revs & Peak Temperature records
This display is a record of the peak engine Revs & Temperature since they were last reset.

Mode 3 - Revs, Temperature & Lap time difference
This display shows engine Revs, Temperature, & the difference between the last 2 completed laps (if any). There are no programmable settings in this mode.

Mode 4 - Revs or Speed, Temperature & Lap time
This display shows engine Revs or Kart speed, & Temperature & Lap time. The lap time display shows the lap time except for the first 5 seconds of a following lap when the display freezes to show the last lap time for 5 seconds. The Kart Speed can be shown in either mph or kph.

Mode 5 - Speed & engine type setting
This dispays various details relating to the Kart which enables the Tachometer Plus to calculate Speed & accurately record engine Revs. Starting from the left-hand side we have: the circumference of the rear wheel 'w' (distance around the tyre) in millimetres. The number of teeth on the rear axle sprocket 'a'. The number of teeth on the engine sprocket 'e' & the type of engine 's'. 2 for two stroke & 4 for four stroke.

Mode 6 - Best lap & Clear lap log
This mode always displays your best lap recorded in the lap log. This provides an easy to use reference to the day's best result. The first number is the lap number in the log & the second number is the actual lap time in seconds to the nearest 100th second.

Mode 7 - Lap log
This mode displays all the laps that have been completed since the last lap log reset. If no laps have been completed then only lap 1 and 2 will show & they will be all zeros. The left-hand side of the display shows the lap number and is therefore always an odd number, for example 15. The next number will be the lap time for lap 15 & the number on the right hand side will be the lap time for lap 16. If 16 laps have not yet been completed it will show all zeros. At the end of a session or race the lap time will eventually get to 99.99 seconds. This is recorded by the lap log & stored as a marker. The lap timer will then stop altogether & will not restart until the magnetic strip sensor receives another input. If the display is left pointing at the most recent lap completed then as new laps are completed the LCD display will track them & always show the most recent lap.
